Sorry i haven't been around! I have tons of backlogged comission work to do. But this one was almost finished for a long time so i finished it at work as my daily warm-ups.
Anyways This dismisses any introduction. Uther, first paladin ever.
I'd like to start off saying that this looks great, and is far better than what I can do right now.
You obviously show an understanding for cloth movement, and armor design. However, I expected the feet and legs to have more of a glow to them since he's standing on a seal. (Is that a unique, original seal you made or is that one in game? I'm not a pally in game, so I can't tell). I think it should have more light then shadow around the feet and legs, and maybe a blue tint to it.
The hammer looks nice, but I think it should look bigger. It looks like a tiny square block.
Other than that, the art is great. The color is fantastic. Your work is one of the reasons why I continue to draw WoW fanart. Thank you for showing this to us.
This is fantastic. When I think of Uther, this is very much what comes to mind. You've done a beautiful fan art, it shows nobility and dedication, the expression on his face is stoic and determined. It embodies very much what a heroic figure of an iconic game should look like. His cape, along with the rest of the fabric, flows very nicely, and the color scheme is superb. Unlike in the game, his boots do not look ridiculous, they form to the legs wonderfully and do not look clunky and strange. Thank you for doing that! The hammer also looks divine, not too big, not too small, very realistic in size. He's not too muscular and outlandish, which is a relief, as most human males in game look silly. The runic circle at his feet is well done as well, it doesn't obscure anything, it fits in rather well. The left hand is slightly smaller, a little out of proportion, but it doesn't distract from the rest of the piece, therefore, doesn't really need to be changed. All in all, you get every star available for producing an excellent piece of fan art. Exactly what I like to see!
You've got a point there. I love how Paladin T9 looked.. except the goofy shoulders and helmet. Can't complain too much though if I look back at the old vanilla-WoW armor..
